What is a typical wholesale discount to online retailers?
Take the cost to make your product, add your expected profit (the rarer it is or has a higher demand will mean more profit), then add 10-15%. That is a good start for your wholesale price. The more one company buys from you, then you can give them a better discount.
Lets say you make the only widget wrench, and it cost you $5 to make it( labormaterials). You want to make at least $2 profit (so your company can grow and make more). That is $7, then add 10%...so now it is $7.70 . Company A wants to buy 12 (1 case), but company B wants 20 cases. Company A will pay $7.70 each, and company B might only pay $7.00. Then if they buy more than that, you can offer more of a discount and still turn a profit
